Samuelson Road Church belongs to the global protestant denomination known as the Church of the Nazarene. We are a small, family-friendly church, shepherded by Reverend Brandon Bowmar. Church History
Samuelson Road Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1968 when a group of members from Rockford First Nazarene felt the Lord’s call to plant a new church on the south side of Rockford. Fifty plus years later, here we are, still worshiping and serving the Lord! We have reached many people throughout the years and have seen many lives impacted for the Kingdom.
The Lord blessed the church and allowed us to build a parsonage in 1980. In 1990, the new foyer addition was added onto the church building. Other upgrades have been done in recent years including renovation on parts of the church and the fellowship hall.
While the building upgrades are wonderful, what is truly the best is how the Lord works through His People. May God grant us many more years of loving service to Him and His Kingdom!
